Your Questions, Answered

I offer a sports massage appointments of various lengths:

30 minutes

45 minutes

1 hour

Longer appointments at your request.

This can depend on you as an individual and what you are comfortable with.

Sports massage is applied direct to the skin, with the exception of the glutes.

For a lower body massage, I can suggest that you bring a pair of shorts, although this is not strictly necessary as you will have a towel to cover with.

For women having an upper body massage you will have the option to take off or leave your bra on, or just unclip it when you are on the massage table, this is your choice. Again, you will have a towel to cover yourself.

The number one thing is dress so that you are comfortable and warm. If you have any questions about this please do let me know.

There are some health conditions that may mean that a sports massage is not suitable for you. On booking a massage with me, you will fill out a consultation form which will assess the suitability of the treatment for you.

But do not worry, I treat many clients with various health conditions! If you have any concerns or questions please get in touch.

To start your appointment I will run through a few questions and assessments to determine the best techniques and treatment for you.

I will then explain to you what the massage will entail, and you will be given time to change and get comfortable on the massage table.

During your massage I will communicate with you, check in that the pressure is okay, and explain what I am doing.

Following the massage you will be given time to change. You will be given information about what to expect following the massage and be offered the chance to rebook.
